What kind of product is Mighty K9?

Does Mighty K9 contain glucosamine or fish oil?

What does the asterisk next to ESS60 mean?
The asterisk says ESS60 is not recognized as an essential nutrient by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles. Pet labels must add that note for any guaranteed substance that is not on AAFCO's nutrient list (AAFCO, Model regulations). It is a rule, not a warning.
Is there a preservative listed in Mighty K9?

How many droppers of Mighty K9 make one serving?
Two full droppers make one serving. The label serving is 2 mL, and the brand's serving calculator counts one full dropper as 1 mL. Squeeze the bulb, let the dropper fill, and empty it over the food twice.
Can I give Mighty K9 straight from the dropper?
Yes, the sales page says the oil can be given directly, as well as on kibble, wet food or broth. Most owners find mixing it into food easier and less messy. Never squirt oil into the back of a dog's throat.

Only with your vet's okay. Each serving is pure olive oil, and a high-fat diet is a major cause of pancreatitis in dogs (AKC, Pancreatitis). A low-fat diet is a key part of treatment (Merck Vet Manual, Pancreatitis), so added oil may not fit.
At what age can puppies have Mighty K9?
The sales page says to check with your vet first if your pup is under six months old. The product is pitched at older dogs, and no study has looked at C60 in puppies. Growing dogs need a complete and balanced diet first.

Has anyone studied Mighty K9 itself?
No published study of Mighty K9 has been found. The brand cites no trial on its sales page, and the product has not been tested in dogs in any paper we could locate. Your own notes are the only test so far.
Has C60 been tested in dogs?
No. A PubMed search on October 11, 2026, found no clinical trial of C60 in dogs (PubMed search, C60 in dogs). The research so far comes from rats and mice, and a 2024 review said the evidence is mainly animal and lab work (Ozdemir 2024, review).
What did the famous C60 rat study show?
A 2012 study of 18 rats reported a median lifespan of 42 months with C60 in olive oil, against 26 with olive oil alone (Baati 2012, rats). A larger 2021 mouse study found no lifespan benefit (Grohn 2021, mice).
Is olive oil good for a dog's joints?
Olive oil is a food fat, not a proven joint aid. It is mostly oleic acid, an omega-9 (USDA, Olive oil). The omega-3s with joint evidence in dogs are EPA and DHA, mainly from fish oil (Barbeau-Gregoire 2022, meta-analysis), and Mighty K9 has none.
What helps an older dog with stiff joints most?
Weight control, steady exercise and rehab, vet-prescribed pain medicine and omega-3s have the best support, per the 2022 AAHA pain guidelines (AAHA, Pain guidelines 2022). A slim body weight is the most important piece (ACVS, Osteoarthritis). Talk to your vet about a plan.
