One serving
How much of each ingredient is in one serving?
One 2 mL serving, drawn to scale. The ESS60 is a speck.
A 2 mL serving is almost entirely olive oil, at about 1.8 g. ESS60 adds 1.6 mg, and the bacon flavor has no printed amount.
- Olive oilAbout 1,826 mg (about 1.8 g) of the 2 mL serving (USDA, Olive oil)
- ESS60 (C60)1.6 mg per serving, about 0.09% of the weight
- Bacon flavorAmount not printed on the label
- 60mL in a bottle
- 30servings of 2 mL
- 48mg ESS60 per bottle
- 486kcal per bottle
Oil weight uses USDA's figure of about 0.91 g per mL. The 16.2 kcal per serving on the label matches what that much olive oil supplies, so nearly every calorie comes from the oil.
Label order
Why does the order of Mighty K9 ingredients matter?
Pet labels list ingredients from most to least by weight, so the first one is the biggest (AAFCO, Reading labels). Olive oil is first because it is the carrier and nearly the whole serving.
The rule tells you the rank, not the amount. Pet labels do not print a weight for each ingredient. Mighty K9 goes one step further than the rule for ESS60, since the Guaranteed Analysis gives its amount: 1.6 mg per serving.
Extra virgin olive oil
About 1.8 g per serving. It supplies the calories and dissolves the C60.
ESS60
1.6 mg per serving, or 48 mg per bottle. That is about 0.09% of the serving by weight.
Bacon flavor
Last on the list, so it weighs the least or ties with ESS60. No amount and no source are printed.
Left out
What does Mighty K9 leave out?
Many joint products share the same handful of ingredients. Mighty K9 skips all of them.
Mighty K9 has no glucosamine, no chondroitin, no fish oil and no turmeric. It also lists no preservative, no vitamins and no minerals.
Glucosamine and chondroitin
The classic joint duo. A 2022 review of dog and cat trials found it eased no pain (Barbeau-Gregoire 2022, meta-analysis).
Fish oil (EPA and DHA)
The omega-3 fats with the best dog joint evidence (AAHA, Pain guidelines 2022). Olive oil does not supply them.
Turmeric, preservatives, vitamins
None appear on the ingredient line. If your dog needs any of these, they have to come from elsewhere.
If you wanted an omega-3 product, Mighty K9 is not one. Our comparison with other joint supplements lays the options side by side.
Compared
How do Mighty K9 ingredients compare with typical joint supplements?
Mighty K9 shares no ingredient with the usual joint formula. The table sets each common ingredient next to what is known in dogs.
| Ingredient | In Mighty K9? | What the dog research shows |
|---|---|---|
| Omega-3 EPA and DHA (fish oil) | No | Eased arthritis pain in a 2022 review of trials; a top-tier option in AAHA guidelines (Barbeau-Gregoire 2022, meta-analysis) (AAHA, Pain guidelines 2022) |
| Glucosamine and chondroitin | No | Tested in dogs; no pain-relieving effect found (Barbeau-Gregoire 2022, meta-analysis) |
| Turmeric and other herbal extracts | No | Grouped with supplements that have no proven pain-relieving effect (AAHA, Pain guidelines 2022) |
| Extra virgin olive oil | Yes, about 1.8 g | A food fat, mostly oleic acid (omega-9); no dog joint studies found (USDA, Olive oil) |
| C60 (ESS60) | Yes, 1.6 mg | Rodent studies only, with mixed results; no dog trial found (Baati 2012, rats) (Grohn 2021, mice) (PubMed search, C60 in dogs) |
| Flavoring | Yes, bacon flavor | Not a health ingredient |
The honest read is that none of Mighty K9's three ingredients has been tested for dog joints.

Order nowOrganic
Is the olive oil in Mighty K9 organic?
The front of the bottle says "Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil." The ingredient line says only "Extra Virgin Olive Oil," and no organic certifier is named anywhere on the label images.
So we report "organic" as the brand's claim. A certified product usually names its certifying agency, and none is printed here.
Ask the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 which body certifies the oil as organic. A real answer names an agency you can look up.
The same caution applies to the "Good Manufacturing Practice" and "Manufacture in USA" badges. Neither names a certifier or a facility. See testing and quality for each badge in turn.
Brand graphic
What does the Inside Mighty K9 graphic show?
The brand's "Inside Mighty K9" graphic shows two of the three ingredients: ESS60 and organic extra virgin olive oil. Bacon flavor does not appear on it.
The other tiles describe the product, not its contents, and none gives an amount.
For amounts, go to the Guaranteed Analysis. Every line of it is typed out and explained on the Guaranteed Analysis page.

Before you start
Who should check with a vet before trying these ingredients?
Because the serving is pure oil, dogs who have had pancreatitis or eat a low-fat diet need their vet's okay first. High-fat food is a major trigger for that painful condition (AKC, Pancreatitis).
The calories also add up for small dogs. One serving is about 5% of a 10 lb dog's daily calories, and well under 2% for a 50 lb dog. The sales page adds that pups under six months should see a vet first.
Supplements can interact with medicines and with each other, so bring the bottle to your next visit (Tufts Petfoodology, Sensible use). The side effects page covers upset stomach and what to watch for.

FAQ
Mighty K9 ingredients FAQ
What goes into Mighty K9?
Mighty K9 lists three ingredients: extra virgin olive oil, ESS60 and bacon flavor, in that order by weight. Olive oil is nearly the whole 2 mL serving. ESS60, a trademarked form of C60, is 1.6 mg per serving. The bacon flavor has no printed amount or source.
Does Mighty K9 contain glucosamine or chondroitin?
No. Mighty K9 has no glucosamine and no chondroitin, the two classic joint supplement ingredients. Its label lists only olive oil, ESS60 and bacon flavor. A 2022 review of trials found glucosamine and chondroitin did not ease arthritis pain in dogs anyway, so their absence is not a loss on the evidence.
Does Mighty K9 contain fish oil or omega-3?
No. Mighty K9 contains no fish oil and no EPA or DHA omega-3. Its oil is olive oil, which is mostly oleic acid, an omega-9 fat. If your vet has suggested omega-3 for your dog's joints, Mighty K9 does not replace it.
Does Mighty K9 have preservatives?
No preservative is listed on the Mighty K9 ingredient line. The label names only olive oil, ESS60 and bacon flavor. Without one, storage matters more: keep the cap tight and the bottle in a dark cupboard, away from heat, because light breaks down olive oil.
Is Mighty K9 really organic?
The front label says the olive oil is organic, but the ingredient line does not repeat the word and no organic certifier is named. We treat organic as the brand's claim. Ask the order desk which agency certifies it if that matters to you.
How much olive oil is in one serving of Mighty K9?
About 1.8 g. A 2 mL serving of olive oil weighs roughly 1.8 g, based on USDA's figure of about 0.91 g per mL. That oil supplies nearly all of the 16.2 calories printed on the label.
Does Mighty K9 contain common dog allergens?
Possibly, and the Mighty K9 label does not say what the bacon flavor is made from, so nobody can promise it is safe for an allergic dog. If your dog reacts to pork or other proteins, ask the brand for the flavor's source and check with your vet first.
