Comfortable movement
Comfortable movement: what is known
No published study of Mighty K9, or of C60 in any dog, has measured how dogs move. What does help a stiff dog move: a lean body weight and steady, low-impact exercise.
How it works
Mighty K9 works as a daily food add-on: each 2 mL serving puts about 1.8 g of olive oil, 16.2 calories and 1.6 mg of ESS60 (C60) into one meal. The brand says this supports joint comfort and healthy aging as an antioxidant. No published study has tested C60 in dogs, so how it acts in a dog is not known.

The basics
Mighty K9 is a way to add a small, fixed amount of olive oil and C60 to one of your dog's meals each day. What it reliably does is deliver those ingredients; what they do inside a dog has not been measured.
The label lists olive oil, 1.6 mg of ESS60 (a trademarked form of C60) and bacon flavor. The sales page adds bigger words, such as joint comfort and "cellular aging" support. Those come from the seller, not from a study.
| Topic | What the brand says | What the bottle reliably delivers |
|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | Senior-dog joint comfort and easier movement | 2 mL of olive oil drops on one meal a day |
| ESS60 (C60) | An antioxidant for "cellular aging" | 1.6 mg per serving, 48 mg per bottle |
| Olive oil | Organic extra virgin olive oil | About 1.8 g of fat per serving |
| Energy | Not discussed | 16.2 kcal per serving, printed on the label |
| Timeline | Changes in 2 to 3 weeks, fuller results at 8 to 12 weeks | Not published in any study |
Step by step
Four stages. Only the first three are certain.
The label serving is 2 mL. That is two full droppers by the brand's own count.
The oil coats the kibble or mixes into wet food, so your dog eats it with the meal.
Olive oil is a food fat and supplies 16.2 calories. How a dog absorbs the tiny C60 dose has not been studied.
Nobody has measured the product in dogs. Your own notes over 30 days are the real test.
The first three stages are plain food handling. The brand's own graphic shows the same routine and names no amount. Serving tips and storage are on the how to use page.

The brand's words
Four claims from the brand's benefit art. Tap a card to see the evidence behind it.

No published study of Mighty K9, or of C60 in any dog, has measured how dogs move. What does help a stiff dog move: a lean body weight and steady, low-impact exercise.

Stiffness after rest is a classic sign of osteoarthritis, which is painful and worth a vet visit. Owners often mistake that pain for normal aging.

The joint supplement with the best dog evidence is omega-3 (EPA and DHA). Olive oil is mostly oleic acid, an omega-9 fat, so it is not a stand-in.

One 2012 study of 18 rats reported longer lives on C60 in olive oil. A larger 2021 mouse study found no lifespan or healthspan benefit.
Claims are quoted from the brand's benefit graphics and sales page. Under FTC guidance, animal and lab studies alone do not prove a health claim (FTC, Health claims).
The sales page also calls ESS60 an antioxidant. For C60 in dogs, no controlled trials exist to test any of these claims. See the claims and evidence page for the full breakdown.
One serving
One serving delivers about 1.8 g of oil, 16.2 calories and 1.6 mg of ESS60. The weight uses USDA's figure of about 0.91 g of olive oil per mL (USDA, Olive oil).
| Volume | 2 mL (two full droppers) |
|---|---|
| Olive oil | About 1.8 g, nearly all of the serving |
| ESS60 (C60) | 1.6 mg, about 0.09% of the weight |
| Calories | 16.2 kcal ME |
| Bacon flavor | Not published |
| C60 per kilogram, 50 lb dog | About 0.07 mg/kg |
For scale, the 2012 rat study behind the C60 buzz used 1.7 mg per kilogram (Baati 2012, rats). A 50 lb dog gets roughly 4% of that per kilo. Every line of the panel is decoded on the Guaranteed Analysis page.
The evidence
C60 research has reached rodents. It has not reached dogs.
Higher means stronger kinds of evidence, not better results: glucosamine reached the top rung and still showed no pain relief. No published trial of C60 in dogs turned up in a PubMed search on October 11, 2026.
A PubMed search on October 11, 2026 found no clinical trial of C60 in dogs (PubMed search, C60 in dogs). More detail sits on the ESS60 ingredient page.

Order nowThe carrier
The olive oil supplies the calories and carries the C60; there is no evidence it acts as a joint ingredient for dogs. It is mostly oleic acid, an omega-9 fat (USDA, Olive oil).
The omega-3 fats EPA and DHA have the strongest supplement evidence for sore dog joints (Barbeau-Gregoire 2022, meta-analysis), and olive oil has almost none. Think of the oil as food energy, about one small treat.
Because every serving is oil, dogs with a pancreatitis history or a low-fat diet need their vet's okay first. A high-fat diet is a major pancreatitis trigger (AKC, Pancreatitis).
Your own test
With no dog studies, your notes are the only data that apply to your dog.
Before the first serving, film your dog on stairs and getting up from a nap.
Same meal, same 2 mL, no other new changes for a month.
Film the same moves again and watch both clips side by side.
Owner videos help vets judge pain in older dogs, and owners often mistake pain for normal aging (AAHA, Senior care 2023). A week-by-week plan is on the results timeline page.
Bottom line
Expect a simple routine and a known dose, not a proven effect. Anything beyond the label is the brand's claim.
Untested is not the same as useless. It just means you are the one doing the testing.
If your dog is limping, slow to rise or avoiding stairs, see your vet before adding any supplement. Possible problems from the oil are covered on the side effects page.
FAQ
Mighty K9 works as a food add-on: you drizzle 2 mL of olive oil containing 1.6 mg of ESS60 (C60) over one meal a day. The brand says it supports joint comfort and healthy aging. No published study has tested how C60 acts in a dog's body.
The sales page presents ESS60 as an antioxidant tied to healthy aging and joint comfort. ESS60 is a trademarked form of C60 dissolved in olive oil. The research behind it is in rats and mice, with mixed results, and no clinical trial in dogs has been published.
There is rodent science behind C60, but no published study of Mighty K9 or of C60 in dogs. One small 2012 rat study reported longer lives. A larger 2021 mouse study found no lifespan benefit. That gap is why tracking your own dog matters.
Each 2 mL serving adds 16.2 calories, printed on the label as metabolizable energy. That is close to nothing for a large dog and about 5% of the day's calories for a 10 lb dog, so small dogs should count it like a treat.
No. Mighty K9 is not a veterinary drug or a pain reliever, and the label makes no such claim. Dog pain medicines such as NSAIDs are prescription only. If your dog seems sore, see your vet for a diagnosis before trying any supplement.
Film your dog on stairs and getting up before the first serving, then repeat the same clips around day 20. Note walk length and jumping in a simple diary. Compare honestly, and decide before the 30-day money-back window closes.
